The firm of Van Doosselaere is the result of a successful merger between the law firms of Van Dooselaere and Calewaert, Goris, Kips & Van de Weyer, and is located in the centre of Antwerp. A recent vote of the top 30,000 companies registered in Belgium rated Van Doosselaere as the 15th best law firm in Belgium regarding service and quality to clients. Other selected law firms are mainly among the international firms operating in Belgium.

The firm provides full legal services in all aspects of Commercial Law including Franchising, Agency and Distribution Agreements, Contract Law, Company Law including incorporation, mergers and acquisitions, Tax Law, Intellectual Property, Insolvency Law, Employment Law, Real Estate, Finance and Banking Law, and Litigation.

Languages spoken in the firm are Flemish, Dutch, French, English.

The firm is a member of an active international group of lawyers throughout Europe, “CLG” (Commercial Law Group), which is a sophisticated network which is at the disposal of clients and which can provide input and service on matters involving an international element easily and effectively. The Group meets every six months and there is a constant dialogue and information exchange among its members.

Arn Calewaert graduated in law at the V.U.B. in Brussels in 1991 and subsequently completed an advanced degree in Tax Law. He specialised in tax law during his training at the office of Mr. H. Dubois in Antwerp. Arn has also acted as trustee in bankruptcy since 1996, and has been appointed Deputy Judge since 2004.

Isabel Goris graduated in law at Ghent in 1991, and added to her law degree an advanced degree in European Law. She has considerable experience and respected knowledge in Labour Law, Distribution Law and Contract Law. She trained in the law firm of Mr. Luc Peeters in Antwerp. She is one of the few Mediators in the Antwerp Bar Association, officially recognised as such after thorough additional training.

Marc Kips graduated in law at Leuven in 1991, and added to his degree in Law, advanced degrees in both Tax Law and in Corporate Law, which is his principal area of practice. He had his training at the office of Mr. Luc Peeters in Antwerp. He also acts as a trustee in bankruptcy since 1998.

Raymond Van de Weyer graduated in Antwerp, thus completing the circle of the Universities in Belgium. He joined CALEWAERT GORIS & KIPS in 2002, having built up a considerable experience in litigation with Loeff, Claeys & Verbeke, (now Allen & Overy). He has added to his degree in Law an advanced degree in Social Law. He also handles matters of Civil and Matrimonial Law. Raymond has been appointed Deputy Judge since 1994.
