In 2005 the law firm Kanzlei Dr. Reuter started a special Centre of Competence for the Pharmaceutical Industry.
Services are provided for the pharmaceutical industry, for pharmaceutical manufacturers, for research laboratories, for distributors, for wholesale, import and export.   Especially third country producers and distributors can be informed and guided through the administrative barriers of the EU and German law and regulations.  There are also complicated questions in regard to the German drug legislation, esp. the change of the German AMG.

Entering new Markets, Expanding in North America:
For our European Clients we provide a special Information Centre for Canada and USA. We work closely with the Canadian Embassy in Berlin, especially with the investment officers, and also with colleagues in Canada.
We also work with the German-American Chamber of Commerce in New York; we can put you in contact with the American Trade Center in Atlanta.
Pro Bono Work:
We handle a substantial amount of pro bono work, especially for charitable institutions and in education, school sponsoring and university education.
We have helped the first college in Kenya that started to teach black and white students in the same class, Strathmore College, Nairobi, and collected funds for fellowships, so that African students with limited or no funds could attend this college.
We support the HSW Hattinger Studienkreis fur Wirtschaftsfragen which is promoting inter-disciplinary exchange of ideas in the field of commerce, economics and economical ethics as well as further education for a wide range of people ranging from students to businessmen and members of the company board.
For many years we have been giving legal advice to the German Council for Public Relations (Deutscher Rat fur Public Relations, DRPR) as part of our pro bono work.  Comparable to the Deutscher Werberat, and Deutscher Presserat, the DRPR is the highest decision and competence institution in respect of Public Relations.

We were actively involved in setting up, and we support, the FOM Fachhochschule fur Oeconomie and Management, Essen, a university of advanced studies.  Every year we give a prize of the best student of the year in Tax Law at the Ruhr-University in Bochum, Institute for Tax Law.

We run student programmes where law students of the Universities of Dusseldorf and Bochum, spend six weeks with us during their studies as part of their Articles.
As an educating law firm enrolled in the DAV-Ausbildungsprogramm, which is a special education program for young lawyers, we offer free education for young lawyers, and we offer student summer programmes for law students of Georgetown University Washington, DC.
We have been elected to be one of the law firms, qualifying for the European Exchange and Education Program for Young European Lawyers by the EU under the Leonardo da Vinci programme.
We can also provide the opportunity for German articling students (Rechtsreferendare) to visit one of the offices in our European or international network.  Applications are requested as early as possible.
