Studio Consulenti Associati (SCA) is a partnership of Italian solicitors and tax advisers (dottori commercialisti) based in Milan and was set up in 1981 and is now made up of 4 partners, 2 associates and 12 support staff.

The firm's clients number approximately 150 Companies and several individuals and include the Italian subsidiaries of the Dole Food Company Group and other multinational Companies.

SCA acts as international general practitioners, offering advice to both private individuals and corporates in the international community, based in Italy or planning to transfer there or departing for another country. SCA provides assistance with the management, tax, administration and regulatory matters involved in operating in a foreign country.

SCA can structure and arrange to set up the appropriate legal entities, liase with local notaries in property transactions, and file the relevant tax declarations in accordance with Italian regulations. SCA can also help in co-ordinating clients' affairs, working together with their home country professional advisers, using, where appropriate, international trust companies and banks.

SCA can organise the provision of local corporate trustees, company directors and fiscal representatives.

SCA can also provide advice on all aspects of legal and tax matters. This ranges from Italian corporate tax and VAT to the international transactions of companies and groups based in Italy and often involves Italian tax planning as well as the relationships with other tax systems.

In the event of litigation on tax issues, SCA is in a position to represent its clients before the "Tax Commission" in Italy; another area of expertise is mergers and acquisitions.
